Sydney Sweeney is stepping out of her comfort zone.

In a new interview shared to The Hollywood Reporter's TikTok page, the Euphoria star, 28, opened up about the recent changes she made to her look, specifically the big chop she unveiled last month while showing off her new platinum blonde bob at the AFI Fest premiere of her new film Christy.

The shorter style wasn't just a shock to fans; Sweeney was also a "little nervous" about ditching her signature long locks for a chin-length cut and even took a while to warm up to the bob as it was a "huge change," per People. However, she has slowly grown to love it because it is bringing her new levels of confidence.

"I think my long hair became my security blanket. I always wanted it down and wavy, but I'm loving this. I feel like I'm going to meet a new version of myself."

The Anyone But You actress noted the change was made possible thanks to her stylist Glen Coco Oropeza. Calling herself "his little science experiment," Sweeney explained that he "wanted to be able to start doing something different" with her look. In the end, it took around a week to achieve the final result, and Sweeney has been showing off the cute style ever since.

Sweeney joins several other actresses who have made recently a major change to their look, including Tori Spelling, who gave herself a drastic cut, and Pamela Anderson, who traded her blonde tresses for an eye-popping copper color.
