Brittany Aldean is opening up about raising kids, Memphis, 3, and Navy, 2, with her husband Jason Aldean, who is also dad to two teenage daughters from his previous marriage. In a recent interview, Brittany discussed their different parenting styles, revealing that Jason tends to be the bad cop.
"We parent very differently, he's definitely the disciplinarian," she said. "I am the sucker, but it's nice to just see him, he's a sucker for those girls. They could do no wrong. So he says he treats them all equally but that's not really a little harder on Memphis."
She went on to say that Jason is "a great parent and he's super loving and he's very gentle, which he's so he's such a rugged man like country boy, but he's just a gentle dad and it's really, it's awesome to see."
This past year, Jason has had more time than usual at home with his family due to the coronavirus pandemic. Brittany says it's been "really nice" having her husband around more often to help with the younger kids.
"I feel like I'm a little spoiled that when, to where it starts back up, I'm like, 'Oh da*n I'm gonna be having all these days alone,'" she admitted. "But it's nice — we kind of divide and conquer with the babies so, we'll each take a kid and one gets them up, the other one's changing a diaper and then one's making lunch while the other one's getting their seats ready. Whatever it is it just makes it easy to have him around all the time and fun and enjoyable and I'm happy for him because he's getting to see so many moments that he would typically miss with the babies."
Looking ahead, Jason, like many other artists, is hoping he'll be able to return to live shows later on in 2021. In the meantime, the country star will continue to work on new music for fans. Back in October of 2020, he revealed he's back in the studio working on his 10th studio album.
At this time, no other details have been announced about Aldean's new album. The upcoming project will follow the release of his 2019 album, 9, which features songs like "We Back," "Got What I Got," and his current single, "Blame It On You."
