Eric Clapton Adds U.S. Tour Dates Before Crossroads Benefit

Eric Clapton Performs At The Forum

Eric Clapton will perform a handful of U.S. shows leading up to his annual Crossroad Guitar Festival in Dallas, Texas, in September.

Old Slowhand has just announced concerts at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sept. 11, T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sept. 13 and Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on Sept. 14.

Tickets for the trio of shows go on sale Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale for Chase cardholders begins Tuesday, April 23, at 10 a.m.

Crossroads takes place September 20 and 21 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. As usual, proceeds from the festival will benefit the Crossroads Centre for drug and alcohol treatment in Antigua, which Clapton founded in 1997.

Clapton recently wrapped up a run of shows in Tokyo, in which he made headlines for resurrecting the electric version of "Layla" for the first time in years. Next month, he and his band will stop at London's Royal Albert Hall for a three-night residency. And in June, the show heads to Germany and Austria for three more dates.
