Blake Shelton To Honor Tulsa Police Officer Aurash Zarkeshan At Concert

According to a post by the Tulsa Police Department one of their own will be honored during Blake Shelton's concert at the BOK Center soon:

This morning, the BOK Center announced that Blake Shelton will recognize Officer Aurash Zarkeshan at his concert on September 24th.

Shelton's concert tour, titled "Friends and Heroes", is recognizing a special community member on each stop.

In a release, the BOK Center said, "Shelton, with the assistance of BOK Center, chose Officer Aurash Zarkeshan based on his bravery and positive outlook he has demonstrated throughout his journey. It has been admirable and an inspiration to the city of Tulsa. Officer Zarkeshan’s strength and perseverance have set an example to the Tulsa Police Department, and he has been a beacon of light for law enforcement officers around the country. We honor his partner, Sgt. Johnson’s memory, and Officer Zarkeshan’s bravery and commitment to keeping all of us safe."

The Bank of Oklahoma is also donating $5,000 to the charity of Zarkeshan's choice, and he has chosen the TPD Foundation.
