Yesterday, Donald Trump had this to say about Aretha Franklin's passing:
Pres. Trump on the passing of Aretha Franklin: "She's brought joy to millions of lives and her extraordinary legacy will thrive and inspire many generations to come. She was given a great gift from God, her voice, and she used it well." https://t.co/O7HXedLRq3 pic.twitter.com/PyQ5Uw4nRe— ABC News (@ABC) August 16, 2018
Apparently, a lot of people were confused about the part where he mentioned that Aretha worked for him numerous times, and didn't exactly know in what capacity she "worked for him."
I honestly feel like if this was anyone else, it wouldn't have been a huge issue, but because Trump is so polarizing, it obviously became a thing. And he simply meant, after research was done by some curious peoples, that he hired her for multiple events with the Trump Towers and other facilities.
Do you think this was an over the top reaction, or was it a justified question?
