McDonald's is taking major steps to have self-serve kiosks pop up in all of their locations. Currently, there are about 3,500 locations that have the kiosks already up and operating. The goal is to have them in half of all Mickey D's by the end of the year, and then in every single location by the end of 2020.
People have said that they've been to international locations and still seen many workers behind the counter regardless of the self-serve kiosks -- do you think McDonald's will keep workers behind the counter, or is this a cost-cutting move?
(Which will actually become a huge profit since studies show that customers order more food and spend more money with a self-serve kiosk.)
