I'm not going to spoil anything in the body of this article at all, just offer my thoughts on the Finale. Because a lot of people have been saying how it was too over the top and inappropriate, while others are saying it's good to start a conversation about it.
Look -- after Season 1, you KNOW what you're walking into with this series. It's controversial AF and tackles A LOT of issues that parents may be too blind to see, especially in THESE days. People are HORRIBLE to each other. That causes people to do very regrettable things, either to themselves or other people.
That said, do I think the finale was inappropriate? No. Not even considering society today. Was it intense as hell? ABSOLUTELY. Like I was legit nervous and a bit anxious watching it, and I'm not a dude that gets anxious often. But do I think it's a reality that NEEDS to be seen to get conversations started and perhaps prevent EVERYTHING that the entire series overall portrays as happening? Yup.
I'm not saying I'm right, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying this is my opinion. If you want to hear directly from the showrunner, click the link below, but heads up that the link below WILL SPOIL what happens in the finale.
