I don't normally blog about newsie stuff because, well, I don't do news. But obviously, it's been impossible to ignore what's been going on the last few weeks in Austin, Texas, with random bombs being set off, especially within the last few days.
And it just made sense to blog about, considering the stations I'm on have been impacted by local bombers at some point (the Boston Marathon Bombing, Oklahoma City Bombing back in the day) -- so we know the fear of being in decently close proximity of a bomb exploding. But with our situations, it was one and done.
I can't imagine being in Austin, where it seemed like day after day at random times of the day and night, bombs would go off. FOR WEEKS. It wasn't a solo situation, it was ongoing. Talk about absolute fear and panic. Thankfully, it sounds like the people of Austin (where I have friends, by the way, so it's not like this is some random blog) can rest easy, because based on reports, the bomber has taken his own life.
Thoughts and prayers to everyone in Austin that's been affected.
