Is This First-Ever "Digital Pill" Crossing The Line Of Privacy?

Welp, we are officially at the mercy of Big Brother, if we weren't before. And I'm not talking about the TV show. Turns out the FDA just approved the first-ever digital pill, which have a sensor embedded into the pill to notify doctors if patients are actually taking their pills.

What do you think -- is this a good way to make sure that patients suffering from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and the like are taking their meds, or is this a hardcore invasion of privacy?
