I always love when A-listers (and I know he's not an actor, but I consider being President of the United States pretty freakin A-list) show off a bit of a vulnerable side, just so it's evident that they're just like every single one of us at the end of the day. That's recently what former President Barack Obama did when talking about dropping his daughter Malia off for her first day of college at Harvard.
For those of us who have daughters, it just happens fast. I dropped off Malia at college, and I was saying to Joe and Jill (Biden) that it was a little bit like open-heart surgery. I was proud that I did not cry in front of her, but on the way back, the Secret Service was off, looking straight ahead, pretending they weren't hearing me as I sniffled and blew my nose. It was rough.
