A couple weeks ago, Apple announced what everyone had been speculating for a while -- the new iPhone X will come without a home button and will be unlocked using facial recognition features. Which sounds AWESOME, right? But recently, there have been concerns on its security and safety, which Apple has responded to, saying that the odds of someone else unlocking your phone with Face ID is 1 in 1,000,000 -- unless you're a twin or under 13.
The statistical probability is different for twins and siblings that look like you and among children under the age of 13, because their distinct facial features may not have fully developed. If you're concerned about this, we recommend using a passcode to authenticate.
