Hurricane Irma Destroys The Island Of Barbuda

After a weekend of anticipation, Hurricane Irma struck land yesterday in the Caribbean, causing some destruction in Puerto Rico and Antigua, and just about completely wiping the island of Barbuda square off the map. After a fly over once Irma had passed, the Prime Minister of Barbuda announced there was about $150 million in damages, 60% of homes were destroyed, and it would take years to rebuild the island.

So far, 10 people overall in the Caribbean are confirmed dead.

Below are pictures and videos of the destruction of Irma so far, along with an updated path -- thoughts and prayers are with our friends in the Caribbean, as well as our friends in the southeastern coast, where Irma is expected to hit next.
