Justin Bieber Robs A Bank For His Beloved In New 'Hold On' Music Video

Justin Bieber has released a new song and music video.

On Friday (March 5), Bieber unveiled the visual for his latest single, “Hold On,” a mid-tempo song about keeping faith during difficult and challenging times.

The music video for “Hold On” illustrates this theme with the Canadian singer-songwriter being depicted as a well-meaning boyfriend who resorts to robbing a bank, seemingly in order to procure funds to save his ailing girlfriend, who appears to be dying of cancer. After a somewhat incredible heist and a high-speed chase leaves Bieber with a bullet wound, the cinematic video culminates with Bieber arriving safely in the arms of his beloved. But the lingering question remains: Is he too late?

“I need you to hold on / Heaven is a place not too far away / We all know I should be the one to say we all make mistakes / Take my hand and hold on / Tell me everything that you need to say / 'Cause I know how it feels to be someone / Feels to be someone who loses their way,” Bieber sings in the encouraging chorus.

“Hold On” is the newest single the crooner has released from his upcoming studio album, Justice, which arrives on March 19. The album also features previously-released songs “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper, “Lonely” with benny blanco and “Anyone.”

"In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity,” Bieber shared on Instagram in announcing Justice. “In creating this album, my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone. Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless. Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone."
