As 2019 draws to a close, the Unicode Consortium has approved a final list of emojis for they ear. A total of 230 new emojis will be coming to major platform before the end of the year. Earlier this year, Apple proposed a ton of new and exciting emojis for their products, including emojis with disability representation, gender inclusive couples and a wider variety of skin tones.

Unicode announced on Monday (October 14) that all the documentation required for vendors, such as Apple, to implement the new emoji set is finally complete. According to Emojipedia, Emoji 12.0 is comprised of 59 new emojis. When you take gender variations into account, however, the number jumps up to 75. When all the new skin tones are added in, as well, the final number is 230 new emojis.

Here's a look at the new emojis, which include an otter, sloth and flamingo. When it comes to food emojis, there's now a waffle, butter and clove of garlic. The yawning emoji is sure to get a lot of use once it becomes available. Other new options are a drop of blood, which is meant to represent menstruation, a sari, two different wheelchairs and a yo-yo, amongst others.

It's not clear when these emojis will be available for use just yet, however, some speculate they'll be ready by the end of the month. Fingers crossed!
